Justin Lebofsky

Director of Client Care and Admissions

Justin has 14 years working directly in the field of addictions. Having completed his Addiction Counselling Degree at Centennial College, Justin spent the next 8 years creating, facilitating and managing addictions and behavioural programs for at risk youth and families. Working with Jewish Addiction Community Services (JACS), Justin was able to generate positive influence and effective change in the lives of thousands of young adults and their family members in regards to addiction, mental health and helped mentor all of those touched by addiction guiding them towards healthy, meaningful lives with authentic purpose and direction. In his continued dedicated work with Families, Justin ran several workshops and provided counselling services for all those looking to best support their addicted loved ones. Justin was actively involved in the Benji Hayward initiative and has travelled all over Ontario facilitating interactive seminars at high schools and youth camps educating and discussing the risks of substance use. Justin has also served as a keynote speaker at many private fundraising events, to help provide the necessary resources, for treatment, therapy, housing, medical care and long term support for those suffering from addiction.

As a result of his exemplary community work in the field of addictions, Justin was presented with the prestigious UJA Projects Initiatives award in 2011 to recognize his professional contributions and the profound difference his efforts have made.

In 2014 Justin co-founded, managed and directed a private residential treatment facility aimed at connecting all clients to the necessary services required through extensive case management resulting in long term care plans and long term sobriety. Justin is active in 12 step recovery programs and has held many service positions at the group level helping in shelters, detox units and in hospitals. While he recognizes that 12 step programming is not for everyone, it can be a great short term or long term support for millions of individuals worldwide.

Justin is pleased to have joined the professional team at CCFA. ‘I want to be a conduit for clients to access the tools and support system in helping them move forward so they can be living happy and fulfilled lives’.
