The Canadian Centre for Addiction (CCFA) was delighted to participate in the 44th Criminal Lawyers’ Association (CLA) Fall Conference located in downtown Toronto at the Marriott Eaton Centre.

Darren, Justin and I were given the opportunity to speak about the many comprehensive addiction recovery services that CCFA provides and they engaged in many conversations with defence attorneys looking to connect their clients with top tiered addiction treatment options.

It was evident from these conversations that there is frustration on behalf of the legal defence community in terms of what is available through the government sector regarding effective professional addiction care as well as program bed availability. CCFA presented positive alternatives and viable treatment options for those families looking to get their loved ones into a reputable treatment centre whilst working with the legal system to help provide individuals with the necessary rehabilitation services that they require.
